- Build Sponsorships — Provide the cash to build a home. Sponsors have opportunities to lead the build at all levels. Often churches combine to raise adequate funds. Builds draw congregations together and form a genuine bond with the homeowner, often a member of that congregation
- Annual Support – Many area churches make annual gifts to support our mission
- Building on Faith Week – Churches participate by attending special events each September, which can include a Pastors’ Build Week, Prayer for Shelter Sunday, and a Pastors’ Breakfast.
- Host Services – Church volunteers often house, feed, and transport volunteer work crews who are working on our builds and visiting our community.
- Special “Minute for Mission” Sundays – Habitat volunteers speak about the impact of homelessness, Habitat’s work in Sioux Falls and other related topics. Often congregations will take a special offering for Habitat.
- Advocacy – Church members mentor a Habitat partner family throughout the process, beginning with the education program and continuing to the dedication of the home and beyond that.
- Vacation Bible School – Churches work with Habitat to develop a curriculum for this very special program for children.
