What does home mean to you? Please think about that for a minute. We asked our board, staff and committee members, as well as future homeowners that question recently. The responses were immediate, because home is such an emotional word.
Elikana and Josephina can tell you all about what it means to them! It means space to open an in-home daycare and become more self-sufficient. It means room for their family and friends to gather after church, which their kids love to do. And it means a better education for their children, as two of their daughters are now in college.
They moved into their Habitat Sioux Falls house five years ago. Watching their family grow and prosper has been one of the many blessings of our Habitat ministry. Gathering the children and grandchildren on a beautiful fall day to take pictures while playing in the backyard around the garden the family talked about planting, even during construction, was such a gift.
Please help us by sending a gift today. Make a donation to help the seven families we’re building with, or preparing to do so, who have dreams of being self-sufficient and prosperous, healthy and content, just like this family. Thank you!
