Volunteer
Volunteers play a huge role in the success of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls. They help with everything from building and repairing homes, to assisting at our ReStore. There is absolutely no experience needed, just a willingness to show up and lend a hand! We have fun and meaningful opportunities year-round.

Habitat’s Volunteer Opportunities
You could be involved in all phases of new home construction or rehab with the exception of the work we subcontract like roofing and electrical. Learn a new skill while you make a difference. No experience necessary!
We paint, perform minor repairs, and do some yard work. Our goal is home preservation and helping people stay in their homes and live there safely. No experience necessary!
Habitat’s ReStore sells donated items like building materials, furniture, appliances, etc., to the public. We need friendly volunteers to help our customers. No experience necessary!
A Team Build is a one-day construction experience for you and your group of up to 12, working together to build a new Habitat house
Deconstruction is the safe removal and sell of gently used cabinets and furniture. You will help disassemble donated ReStore items that will be tested and either recycled or resold in our ReStore. We have weekly volunteer opportunities with our Decon team, follow the link for exact times and dates.

Committees
Habitat Sioux Falls works with five committees to aid in driving our mission and decision-making. The committees are Construction, Family Selection, Finance, Fund Development, and ReStore. If wielding a pen and keyboard is more your style, SEND US AN EMAIL to get more information.

Habitat International provides quality Volunteer and Training Courses. They will help prepare you for working at a Habitat site. Take the courses and receive a completion certificate!
